DISH Reservation - SMS Notifications for Your Guests

We’ve launched a new SMS feature to help you improve communication with your guests in DISH Reservation.

🚀 What’s new?

Starting April 15th, 2025, you can book our new monthly SMS package to send messages directly to your guests — whether it’s to ✅ confirm reservations, 🔄 provide updates, or ⏰ send reminders.

SMS Package Details:

  • €6.90/month (+VAT) includes 200 SMS
  • Each additional SMS costs €0.04
  • Special offer: Send unlimited SMS until November 15th, 2025
  • The package is cancellable at any time

⚠️ Important:

If no action is taken, from May 15th, 2025, the SMS you currently send will no longer be delivered.

We understand that this change introduces a cost, but it’s an important step to continue offering a reliable, professional SMS service to support your restaurant's needs.

Discover exciting new features at DISH Reservation

1. Save time with auto-suggestions when entering a new reservation

🚀 News:

Reservation managers can now save valuable time when entering new reservations to DISH Reservation. As soon as you start typing the first name or telephone number of returning guests, our system will automatically suggest their full contact and guest details. This complements the ability to search by last name. With this feature, you can:

  • Efficiently retrieve guest information without having to manually enter all details.
  • Reduce the risk of errors by using pre-existing guest data.
  • Improve your guests' experience by personalising your interactions with quick access to stored information about them.

2. Easily add recurring reservations for your guests

Would you like to easily create a series of reservations for some of your guests? Or do you wish to simply block tables for online reservations on a regular basis (e.g., because you need them for a brunch buffet on Sundays)? Good news! This feature is now available.

Simply click on the date field, select multiple dates, confirm with OK, and save. You can add up to 52 dates. The reservations will appear on both the table plan and list view (available only for DISH Professional and DISH Premium subscriptions).


3. Find out who in your team created a reservation

Tracking who created a reservation can be very convenient. Whether you need clarity on a guest's request, more context about special wishes, or want to give feedback to the staff member, knowing who to talk to is a good start.

To activate this feature, go to the reservations section in your settings and toggle on 'Assign Reservation Creator.' Staff members will need to add their names to each reservation they create, making it easy to identify them. Available only for DISH Professional and DISH Premium subscriptions.

Easily add recurring reservations for your guests

🚀 News:

Recurring reservations are now available: Would you like to easily add a recurring reservation for your guests, e g. for every Friday evening or every first Thursday of the month? Good news, it's now possible to do so (only for DISH Professional and DISH Premium subscriptions).

To add a new recurring reservation, simply click on the date field and select multiple dates. Then, choose the dates on which the reservation shall be repeated and click on the OK button to confirm. You can add up to 52 dates for a recurring reservation. Next, save your reservations. They will appear on the table plan and list view.

Find out who in your team created a reservation

🚀 News:

Ever wondered who in your team created a reservation, so that you may ask a question about the reservation? Now you can simply go to the reservations section in your settings and activate the feature "Assign Reservation Creator".

Your team members will be asked to add their name in every reservation they create in order for their names to show up on it (only for DISH Professional and DISH Premium subscriptions). ⚙️

🔧 Fixes:

Available timeslots in Reserve with Google (RWG) and the Widget match again in all cases: We fixed a bug that was showing different available time slots between the reservation widget and reserve with Google for some of you. If you switched off reserve with Google because of that, you can now switch it back on.

Reserving with Facebook and Instagram is up and running

🚀 You can activate Reserve with Facebook and Instagram again: 

Have you been wanting to add our "Reserve with Facebook" and "Reserve with Instagram" button on your social media but couldn't do so? Good news - it's working again. You can now simply activate the "reserve" button on your restaurant's Facebook and Instagram profile. Simply activate this feature in settings/reservation:

We made it easier to better manage your guest information

  • 🚀 You can now easily change personal information about your guests, such as their e-mail address, name or telephone number. A guest asks to delete his or her personal data? No problem, you can also delete it and fully comply with your guests' request.
  • 🚀 Show calling guests that you care about them: When entering the name of a guest calling to reserve, internal guest notes will now show up immediately. With this, you can quickly view any note you may have on a guest (e.g. seat or dietary preference) and immediately refer to it in the call.

 

  • 🚀 Be faster at reviewing reservations with our new table plan icons: When reviewing your reservations on the table plan, you will now find icons whenever there is a note about your guest. This will help you know which reservations to look at in detail and find important information more easily.

Introducing the push notification instead of the SMS

New:

  • 🚀 We are switching from SMS to Push Notifications: Clients with DISH Professional Reservation and DISH Premium subscriptions can now finally receive reservation related push notifications on the DISH App. You keep the advantages of SMS, and get a wide range of additional benefits.
  • 🔧 Action Required: On 05/03/2024, we will stop sending you SMS; instead you will receive push notifications. SMS to your guests will be sent as usual. To get push notifications, download the DISH App via App Store (for iOS) or via Google Store (for Android).

  • 🚀 Receive reservations via Facebook and Instagram: We've just made it easier to transform your visitors on Facebook and Instagram into new guests with reservations. Simply activate the "reserve" button on your restaurant's Facebook and Instagram profile. Guest can then book directly from there, without visiting your website.

  • 🚀 Online Reservation limits show up immediately on Reserve with Google: Until now, it could take up to 24h for a change in your online reservation capacity to show up in Google. A guest would then see a time slot, try to book it and receive an error message. We have fixed this. Changes are now updated immediately.
