Firmware update available for your DPN device starting May 26

A new firmware update is available for your DISH Pay Now device starting May 26. We recommend proceeding with this update if you have around 10 minutes available before serving guests.

🔧 What's New?

  • Firmware Version should change from the current version EU001_V01_20250114 to the new version EU001_V01_20250507
  • Estimated update time: 10 minutes
  • Expected downtime: Minimal – the device stays logged in and can be used shortly after the update is complete.

⚠️ Before You Start

Please make sure:

  • The device battery level is over 35%
  • The device is connected to the internet
  • Your current firmware version is EU001_V01_20250114

🔄 How to Update

Option A: Mandatory Upgrade (automatic)

  • The update package will automatically download and install when the device is in sleep mode.

Option B: Manual Upgrade

  • Once you see the “System update” message, tap “Restart now”


  • The device will then begin the update process

✅ After the Update

  • You can verify the update by going to Settings > About phone > Build number
  • The build number should show: EU001_V01_20250507

🕒 Can I Postpone It?

Yes — the update can be postponed, but we highly recommend updating as soon as possible to avoid interruptions or repeated system reminders.

❓ In Case Something Goes Wrong

  • If the update doesn't complete, restart the device and try again.

DISH Website - Update Your Custom Domain Settings by 1st July 2025

🚀 What’s changing?

We’re upgrading the Firewall for DISH Website to provide better security and performance. If you’re using your own domain (custom URL), you must update your DNS settings with your domain provider.

🔧 What you need to do

Please log in to your domain provider’s settings (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.), not your DISH Website account, and update the records:

A record

Replace the IP 34.89.135.24 with 34.111.211.251

CAA record

Delete any entry that includes letsencrypt.org and remove the CAA record entirely


🗓️ Deadline: 1 July 2025

If the settings are not updated in time, your DISH Website will no longer be reachable via your domain.

DISH Pay – Welcoming Portugal & Improving Transparency

We're always working to make DISH Pay better, clearer, and easier to use. With this release, we’re introducing enhancements that support more users and offer better payment visibility.

🇵🇹 Portugal is now supported!

Merchants in Portugal can now:

  • Complete their onboarding in Portuguese
  • Use MBWay as a new payment method (exclusive to Portugal)

This means smoother onboarding and payments for all Portuguese users — no action needed.

🧾 See which device made the transaction

You can now view the device name that processed a payment, directly in the Transaction Details screen.

This small change brings more clarity and helps you easily track and understand your transactions.


💬 Clearer messages during onboarding

We’ve improved the communication throughout the onboarding (KYC and DPN) process:

  • Messages are easier to understand
  • Errors are more clearly explained
  • The overall experience is smoother

DISH Reservation - SMS Notifications for Your Guests

We’ve launched a new SMS feature to help you improve communication with your guests in DISH Reservation.

🚀 What’s new?

Starting April 15th, 2025, you can book our new monthly SMS package to send messages directly to your guests — whether it’s to ✅ confirm reservations, 🔄 provide updates, or ⏰ send reminders.

SMS Package Details:

  • €6.90/month (+VAT) includes 200 SMS
  • Each additional SMS costs €0.04
  • Special offer: Send unlimited SMS until November 15th, 2025
  • The package is cancellable at any time

⚠️ Important:

If no action is taken, from May 15th, 2025, the SMS you currently send will no longer be delivered.

We understand that this change introduces a cost, but it’s an important step to continue offering a reliable, professional SMS service to support your restaurant's needs.

  • DISH Order Web view Buttons

Dear DISH Order users, who also have DISH App, we have updated the handling of buttons inside the web view. You can now tap with confidence on the KITCHEN link in the side menu to configure and save your Categories, Menu Items and Mealtimes.


  • Crash fix

Also, during a routine check, we spotted an unexpected crash on the Home screen. Not on our watch! We quickly rolled up our sleeves and squashed that bug too.

Update now and enjoy a smoother experience! 🤖

Fix for Italian company SDI field

Ciao, Italian users! We fixed a bug on the Company Details screen that made the SDI field overly picky. It now happily accepts both letters and numbers. Prego!

As always, we squashed some bugs and the app also works better when you tap on links outside the app.

Discover exciting new features at DISH Reservation

1. Save time with auto-suggestions when entering a new reservation

🚀 News:

Reservation managers can now save valuable time when entering new reservations to DISH Reservation. As soon as you start typing the first name or telephone number of returning guests, our system will automatically suggest their full contact and guest details. This complements the ability to search by last name. With this feature, you can:

  • Efficiently retrieve guest information without having to manually enter all details.
  • Reduce the risk of errors by using pre-existing guest data.
  • Improve your guests' experience by personalising your interactions with quick access to stored information about them.

2. Easily add recurring reservations for your guests

Would you like to easily create a series of reservations for some of your guests? Or do you wish to simply block tables for online reservations on a regular basis (e.g., because you need them for a brunch buffet on Sundays)? Good news! This feature is now available.

Simply click on the date field, select multiple dates, confirm with OK, and save. You can add up to 52 dates. The reservations will appear on both the table plan and list view (available only for DISH Professional and DISH Premium subscriptions).


3. Find out who in your team created a reservation

Tracking who created a reservation can be very convenient. Whether you need clarity on a guest's request, more context about special wishes, or want to give feedback to the staff member, knowing who to talk to is a good start.

To activate this feature, go to the reservations section in your settings and toggle on 'Assign Reservation Creator.' Staff members will need to add their names to each reservation they create, making it easy to identify them. Available only for DISH Professional and DISH Premium subscriptions.
